Tempora mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis.
Times change and we change with them. The future becomes the present, the present the past, and the past becomes everlasting regret.
He’s always chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but when he gets there, it’s just cornflakes.

…since I can’t actually draw it myself.
A pitcher pouring not water but random letters into a Chasm (original!) which is filled with randomly placed titles (of Vol.2 works).
Tag… Max. If you like the idea

“It’s a crass culture, Hobbes… shoddy and quick is all anyone knows.”
I’ve found that it’s easier to come up with something truly magnificent if one takes the time to write it on paper, with a pen/pencil. It gives (me, at least) more time to think about the words before they go on the page and contemplate the words before to make it tie in more smoothly.
But who has time for good art?On another note…
Everything I write seems to be so negative in one way or another. I can try to write something happy, maybe even sappy, but where’s the reality in that? Who can relate to perfection? Will the characters have an ounce of feasibility?
(The slap-in-the-face question is, do any of my characters have an ounce of feasibility?)
All I can think of is, make it perfect, then utterly and brutally destroy it. Little bit of Koontz is all. -

Open to a gang hit. The perp, a scared kid working on fear, adrenaline, and peer pressure, guns down a middle-aged couple in South Miami.
The funeral.
He sees it in the news, the names and faces clear to him.
Nine years later, the perp has gone through juvie and all kinds of rehab and seems to be the society’s success story- but no one knows about the murders nine years prior. He goes on to become a successful (pick one: entrepreneur, city official, etc) and gets married to an equally successful (something).
::EDIT:: What I forgot to mention here was that he married the daughter of his victims. The ensuing drama and relation-character-dev should be interesting.
